We are proud to annouce that we have been working alongside Penarth based design studio, Ekona, on a puppetry website. While we cannot take credit for the site's design, we are responsible for the content management system which allows the site's owner to completely administer the site, which includes the shop. The shop links through to PayPal for the financial transaction. The content management system was edited to be specifically relevent...

On Saturday 18th October 2008 we will be relocating to a new address in Radyr, Cardiff. The new address is available on the Contact Information page. This new address should be used for any postal correspondence including any outstanding payments by current clients. However, we will continue using our office space at Hebron Hall - thanks to Big Ideas / Ignite - who generously let us share their premises for meetings and other work....

We are proud to announce the launch of the Thornhill Church Centre website! At the start of the year, Thornhill Church approached us with the challenge of revamping and redeveloping their two websites. So starting with the branding they had produced for their welcome packs we set about making two designs which were similar but distinct. As well as creating sites that are aesthetically pleasing, we also wanted to develop a site that was easy to administer...

To help you along with the process of creating a website, we have added a new page to the site. It contains helpful advice in choosing a good domain name and a domain name availability checker. If you'd like to discuss choosing a good domain name, give us a call or send us an e-mail today....

Last year, we launched a website for a festival in Radyr, Cardiff. This year the festival is back and bigger than ever, so we were asked to revamp the site in the new style and based on the artwork they had already had made for the poster. The site is about as simple as you can get, and is just two pages in size at the moment. However, there is space for expansion, so that extra pages with more information can be added. www.ecofunday.co.uk...

Thornhill Church is a thriving and vibrant church located to the north of Cardiff in the relatively new suburb that bears its name. The church first approached us in the new year asking us to redesign and redevelop their church and centre sites. At long last we are ready to unveil the new design for the church site with the centre just a few weeks from completion. The site is being developed in stages so that the new design would be visible sooner rather...

As the 4th site that we have launched in this last month, Tanzania based Friends of Nuru, is certainly a worthy cause. Run by Alison Sutherland, the charity helps HIV/AIDS patients in the Sigida area of Tanzania at their hospice. We were contacted during one of her now rare trips home to South Wales and have been working on the new site since the New Year. Again, the site uses our new Content Management Sytem which makes updating the site as easy as...

India based ministry, Gateway Ministries, have teamed up with South Wales based Ignite / Big Ideas to launch a new site. Gateway ministries are based in Hyderbad and Rajahmundry and have been responsible for the building of many churches as well as training pastors from the region. When Ignite realised just how little it actually costs to build a church in the region, and yet how the people still couldn't afford to build them, decided to sponsor...

We are proud to announce the launch of two very musically based sites today. The launch of "Arioso Musician Finder" and "Penarth Piano Academy" have been in the design process since the owner of the two businesses, Dr Karen Mulcahy, contacted us earlier this year. The sites, which are about as straight forward as we do, use the Business Basics package. They may be simple in structure, but they have still been created to comply with...

We are proud to announce that we have added a new section to the website - the "packages" page. This page is where you can find out more information about our latest deals, discounts and offers. In addition to old favourites like the "Business Basics" and "Smart Sites" packages, we have now launched packages aimed at specific key audiences: the Simple Band site, for example. The Band site, which was used on the Thirdday.co.uk...

Since we are based in Wales, we have found that a number of our clients require a content management system that allows them to create articles in both English and Welsh. So we set to work adapting our own CMS system to do just this, but then we thought, why limit it to just Welsh and English? The system which is now nearing completion allows your visitors to effortlessly switch between versions of your site's pages in whatever their native languages...

We have been working alongside South Wales Charity 'Big Ideas' for almost two years now, but this last month has probably been the most exciting so far as we unveiled our new Online Booking System for their IgniteHope weekend in May 2008. The aim of the weekend is to carry out several thousand hours of kindness in Cardiff, The Vale and the Valleys over the May Bank Holiday weekend, by doing simple things like litter collection, painting railings...

When I was approached by Gary Smith and Trevor King with this opportunity, I was thrilled. Third Day are a big Christian Rock band from the states. Their music has won them awards in both the secular and Christian music industries - which are both massive the other side of the pond. Although not the Official site for the band, the .co.uk is still a massively high profile one. The site, which has it's own forum and shop facility (using Google Checkout...

We recently did what turned into quite a mammoth task for a then South Wales based apostolic Christian organisation called "Emerge Wales". During the construction of the site, we created a completely new content management system specifically for their project's unique needs and this was no small job, I can assure you. The system, although admittedly still a work in progress, allows the user to update almost every aspect of the site quickly...

Dai Hankey, pastor of Hill City Church in Trevthin, leader of the EZ36 project and pioneer of Ignite's "Offensive" sessions, created Standard Issue (a series of street-wise devotions, back in 2005. A few months ago he approached us requesting a website version which officially went live last week. The site is about as uncomplicated as it can get, and is a good example of our Business Basics package, but it shows that sometimes less is...

Last month saw the launch of the new "Living for God at Work" site, which we both designed and now host! 'Living for God at work' (www.lovework.org.uk) is an event that challenges people to see their vocation - whether its as a cleaning lady or a statistician as a calling from God. Events are taking place in February this year. This is certainly one of the smallest sites we have designed but it's also one of the most colourful...

Hebron Hall has become the latest company to enlist the help of Doive Designs in maintaining and updating their website. Hebron Hall is a Christian Conference Centre and residential complex in Dinas Powys which caters for everyone from young to old. In addition to providing Hebron Hall with regular maintenance and updates whenever they require them for a set monthly fee, we are also hosting their site for a low annual fee. If you have a website and...

We wish we could take credit for ABA Design's latest site, lookingatlife.org.uk (formerly 2030vision) but alas we can't. However, that isn't to say we were completely out of the loop. We are proud to do our part in hosting the site which aims to help people in their 20s and 30s with everyday issues. The site, which is a venture of Cardiff based charity 'Care for the Family' was launched officially last week. If you already have a...

We are proud to announce that the new Live Sound Services website is now up and running. Due to the nature of the company's work we decided that a simple database driven news and gallery system would work well. The system allows him to upload pictures to his site wherever he may be, which means that theoretically he could have pictures of an event online before the event is over. Livesound Services director, Mr David Lyle, provides low cost, high...

Doive Designs is proud to announce a new regular maintenence contract with Christian Voluntary Sector organisation, Gweini. Each month they pay for a specified number of hours work on their site - which means that they don't need to hire full time staff to maintain it for them. We look forward to our new working relationship with Gweini and support their work....
