At the end of 2021, we were contacted by several new customers. One of them was holiday home owner Many Cotter, who needed a website set up for her newly purchased holiday cottage in the Scottish Highlands.
Located in Letterfearn, the Old School House was the Head teacher's house until the school closed. It is now a 3 bedroomed holiday let, which sleeps 5 people.
The website is nothing all that complicated. They simply needed something to help them to get found, to help people to make enquiries and to share photos from guests and of local attractions.
Around the same time another new customer, Peter Wrigley, also approached us with an idea for a personal website where he could share greetings cards, short stories, poems, details of walks and more generally is faith, or as he describes it 'a total mish-mash of whole life'.
Coming from a design background, Peter already had a good idea as to what he wanted, but had no real interest in how websites worked. So we complemented each other quite nicely and his initial ideas were quite easy to translate into a working website.
Both websites uses versions of our bespoke content management system (or CMS) which means that we were able to completely customise the options available to them.
For Peter this meant that he could add varied content to the website, whilst giving him an easy to use admin system to add, edit or upload new content.
For Mandy, So we set to work, one helpful feature is the 'availability checker' which helps perspective visitors quickly check it's availability. Something we have used previously on the websites for other holiday lets.
