Over the past few months we've been working with one of our existing clients to help them to revamp their website to help them meet current standards and trends.
Llanishen Evangelical Church, who first approached us to work on their site back in 2010, decided that it was time to give their site a facelift. Six years is a long time in web design, with the focus now on mobile and tablet friendly design which was barely a consideration back when the initial site was created.
The new church website which went live in the middle of February 2016, uses modern coding techniques including reactive CSS styles to adapt the layout of the page to the screen size available. This allows it to pass Google's mobile friendliness tests and more importantly makes the website much easier to use for mobile phone users.
But mobile friendliness was not the only consideration on this site. It is also built on the new version of our in house CMS system which allows the church administrator to quickly and easily update all aspects of the website simply by logging in.
Just like the latest version of the Cadoxton Methodist Church website which was relaunched back in September, the church calendar dynamically updates and hides past events meaning that it is simple and easy to keep up to date - the website does all the hard work for you. This even includes the facility to make events school term time only and to repeat weekly or monthly.
Finally, Llanishen church, like many others wanted the facility to be able to share talks on their website. While slightly shy of a full podcast, the site easily allows them to upload and share talks from past services on the website.
