Thornhill Church is a thriving and vibrant church located to the north of Cardiff in the relatively new suburb that bears its name. The church first approached us in the new year asking us to redesign and redevelop their church and centre sites. At long last we are ready to unveil the new design for the church site with the centre just a few weeks from completion.
The site is being developed in stages so that the new design would be visible sooner rather than later with the more complicated content management system following on later. For anyone not familiar with the term content management system (or CMS for short), it is a system that allows the church to easily update the content of the website by logging in. In this case the site will include access to update news, events, articles and page content. It will also have a comprehensive members section allowing similar but more limited access for other members of the church to securely access useful information that isn't appropriate for a worldwide audience.
The centre site will also include a room booking system, to allow users to check whether a room is available and preliminarily book it on the site. Phase one of the development is now complete and you can view the site at www.thornhillchurch.org.uk
