Faqs: Update your own website - What is a CMS?
Date Added: 22/05/2017 @ 1:31pm
A Content Management System (or CMS) is a system that allows you to control the content of your website quickly and easily.
Typically, you will be provided with log in details which allow you to access an admin area of your site.
You can then use this area to change the wording and pictures on your site using a simple text editor which makes updating your site no more complicated than using Microsoft Word or an online email provider like GoogleMail.
We generally use three kinds of content management systems, our bespoke CMS, Wordpress and Joomla. However, we work with a wide range of bespoke systems built by third party developers too.
Whenever we supply a website with a content management system we provide a full user guide and an optional training session.
Bespoke CMS
No organisation is ever quite the same as another, so an off-the-shelf solution like Joomla or Wordpress are never going to suit everyone's unique needs.
Our bespoke CMS can be customised and extended to allow you to run any kind of business online. Our system includes add-ons for online photo galleries, recruitment sites, online shopping, ticket booking, podcasting, html e-mail generation and anything else you can come up with.
No matter what your needs may be, our custom made content-management system is easy to use and made to your specific requirements.
